Here is just a sampling of recent and upcoming concerts, readings, taste treats and seasonal celebrations designed to inspire and delight our residents.

  • Food Trucks and Fun. From pierogi and pasta to drinks and desserts, our food truck offerings are guaranteed to delight. Music, corn hole games and old fashioned fellowship complete the evening!
  • Chocolate Factory Extravaganza. Representatives from the three-generation Schakload Chocolate Factory visit Robin Run Village to share secrets of their European-style family recipes and bring scrumptious samples for all to enjoy.
  • James Whitcomb Riley Impersonator. Residents are treated to the poetry, stories and fun-filled adventures of James Whitcomb Riley, a bestselling author of the 1800s and one of Indiana’s own.
  • Glass-blowing Demonstration. Residents learn about the history of glass-blowing techniques and art in Indiana.
  • New Horizon Band. A live big band provides an evening full of toe-tapping singalongs, joy and memory-evoking sounds.
  • Power-Packed Lecture Series. This six-week series on “Care of Our Common Home” features a mix of scientists, tech experts, journalists, authors, politicians, world leaders, theologians, farmers, poets and musicians exploring promising solutions that will inspire hope for achieving a zero-carbon emission future for 2050.
  • Be Heard” Latino Experiences. This exhibit builds off the Indiana Historical Society’s Year’s long collecting initiative to gather the often historically-excluded narratives of Hoosier Latinos. Using photographs, oral histories, newspapers, letters and other documents, “Be Heard” introduces a larger story that is still being written, that will continue to have a transformative impact on Indiana and beyond.
  • Gobble-uns’ll Get Ya”. In this spooky evening, a professional storyteller performs classic Halloween tales from the early 1900s.
  • The Meister Winds German Band and Beer Oktoberfest Celebration. Spirited festivities, lively music and the best of delicious German beer make this a celebration not to be missed.
